How healthy eating became the choice of millennials

Millennials are said to be the ones out to “change the world”. They account for about two-thirds of the Indian consumer market and are also known for their unhealthy eating habits. Recently, however, millennials are becoming aware of healthy eating habits for good health and happiness and are on the hunt for the best health-based choices. While it is true that the world of food is not going to be disrupted overnight, the millennium world is certainly leading and driving change in the food revolution. From fast casual to farm to fork, it seems like every other month we hear about this generation finding something new and unique to captivate them.

Millennials are clean brigade with the ability to retaliate. Today’s resourceful and well-informed consumers increasingly examine and research the brands they patronize. They dig deeper to find answers to every doubt they may have. It might start with a Google search, but it often pops up on a website and social media page for a flour brand or a restaurant that rides the farm-to-fork wave. Farm-to-fork dining is a new concept. Restaurants are leading this wave and have reinforced this experience in India by using ingredients that are fresh from the farm.

Millennials feel a sense of responsibility and care for our planet, which forces them to research and select brands that celebrate people and the environment. Brands that provide this information with easy access will be rewarded. Even with a busy schedule, they can absolutely order, but they will look for clean and hygienic food producers, and their order depends on that. They have the technology, but now they are using it more than ever. Faced with uncountable choices compared to previous generations, millennials may not stick to the age-old categories or brands their parents used to buy.

They are the superficial generation that wants to flaunt their lifestyle on all social media platforms, and they are not shy about it. That’s a big way in which the wildfire of healthy and conscious eating is growing, and rightfully so. Their plates must have striking flavor, style, and colors that make them the perfect delicious Instagram post. There have been cases where chefs and influencers post articles about the food they are eating, their experience or cooking, and customers follow the instructions and try it at home. The motto of this generation is ‘You are what you eat.’ They have adopted clean habits from their family and are also red flags in controlling their litter. They are passionate people who will make amends through effort and deliberate choices.

They are looking for an authentic story they can rely on and this new generation is loyal as well. If your avocado shake is made with fresh produce and is packed with antioxidants and nutrients, they will incorporate it into their lifestyle. They will go the extra mile and pay extra to make sure every bite counts. There is definitely a big change happening. Annual eaters want to be lured in, not by discounts and happy hours, but by food and drinks that truly enhance their lifestyle and energy levels. They care more about the origin of their food, and that’s a good thing on many levels.

Creating good eating habits doesn’t have to be complicated. Even so, it requires careful preparation, especially in regards to implementing a timetable and adhering to important health and nutrition standards. Millennials are not only following the trend of good health, but are also on a learning path to adhere to the essentials and ground rules, carefully screen for the unusual needs of the body, and ensure ensure that health goals are unchallenged.
