How good are these Buffalo Bills?

Buffalo Bills is pretty good.

Talk about the best quote of the year, right? Some have gone as far as to say that they are best team in the NFL, put your hands down. The Kansas City Chiefs may have something to say about it and will have a chance to stay home in Week 6, but the Bills definitely feel like they’re on a mission this year. That’s a Super Bowl or tournament for the Bills in 2022, and so far, it seems like they should be favored over anyone else in either division.

Buffalo’s win over Tennessee (41-7) was their 20th consecutive double win. Last time the Bills won less 10 points is November 1, 2020, when they beat the Patriots, 24-21. So, for almost two years, the Bills have rouse and get the name. There haven’t been any close wins for this group in quite some time.

When the Bills faced the Chiefs last October in Week 5, Buffalo beat them in KC by 18 points. But of course, we all remember the Captain paid back in the Division Round, beating Buffalo 42-36 in extra time. It’s still amazing to see how many things can happen on a soccer field in 13 seconds.

And that’s just it, right there. The post-season tops are the only hump these Bills need to overcome in order to fulfill their destiny. Buffalo might get lucky and avoid Kansas City altogether in the knockout stages, but that’s no fun. Without a doubt, the Bills wanted to defeat this enemy on their own. Beating the captains in the AFC Championship Game, on their way to the Super Bowl, will be icy.

As noted above, these teams will meet again in the regular season when Buffalo travels to Arrowhead Stadium on October 16. Over the next month or so, we’ll find out just how good these Bills are and if they’re as good or better than many analysts would have you to believe.

The next five games are the toughest for Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Von Miller and the rest of 2022 Buffalo Bills. Buffalo’s next five games: @Miami, @Baltimore, home for Pittsburgh, @Kansas City, BYE, then back home for Green Bay. Beyond that stretch, the Bills may not lose any games.

If the Dolphins continue playing the way they have thus far, they could shock Buffalo next week. The Chiefs are always a threat, and the Ravens should never be counted out with Lamar Jackson on the field. Although Baltimore’s defense leaves a lot to be desired. I don’t think Buffalo will go undefeated, but we might be looking at a 15- or 16-win team. That’s how good these Bills are.

So far, the Bills rank first in scoring offense (36 ppg) and second in the league in scoring defense (8.5 ppg). They’re giving up just 215 total yards per game through two weeks, ranking second in the NFL. And the Bills are averaging 413.5 ypg on offense which ranks third in the NFL. Sean McDermott’s squad is all over the top five in statistics on both sides of the ball. That’s a Super Bowl-winning recipe right there.

Seriously, the only thing standing in Buffalo’s way is Kansas City in late January. Until the Dolphin show me a little more (they look good so far), there is no other team in the AFC that can go against the Bills. Luckily, we get to see how good these new Dolphins look this week in Miami compared to the Bills. If Miami loses but retains a good and respectable record, that could give them confidence moving forward.

Looks like we’re on another collision course for KC vs. Buffalo in the knockout round. Hopefully it’s in the AFC title game with a trip to the Super Bowl on the wire.
