House of the Dragon Season 2 begins filming in early 2023

HBO’s House of the Dragon Season 1 finale aired Sunday and established the beginning of what’s known as Dance of the Dragons in the series. Dance of the Dragons will continue the rest of the series starting with Season 2, says co-creator and executive producer Ryan Condal Diversity Shooting will begin in early 2023. It’s unclear if Part 2 will arrive in 2023 or 2024.

Warning: The following contains spoilers for the final season of House of the Dragon Season 1. If you haven’t seen the final episode yet, redirect now.

Titled “Black Queen,” it was already a suspenseful episode after Rhaenys (Eve Best) informed Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) that her father, King Viserys, was dead and Queen Alicent (Olivia) had died. Cooke), along with Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans), usurped her throne and placed Prince Aegon (Tom Gynn-Carney) on the throne.

The episode ends when Rhaenyra hears that her son was killed by Luke, albeit by accident, and D’Arcy stares at the audience with eyes that could melt the earth as she prepares for an all-out war stand against his stepmother and old friends.

The Season 1 finale has been leaked online before the broadcast, causing a stir on social networks related to the fate of dear boy Luke. In the books, Luke’s murder is intentional, but in the end it’s a more fortuitous case with dragons going rogue. Aemond’s brother, King Aegon II, even threw a party in his honor, although both his mother and grandfather were devastated by his actions.

All 10 episodes are available on HBO Max.
