Eddie O’Leary has revealed that former National Hunt champion Irish homeowner Gigginstown House Stud will renew forces with Willie Mullins this season.
Gigginstown famously split with the Mullins over a dispute over training fees in 2016 but bought bumper winner Clonmel Shanbally Kid to train with this season’s champion.
TDN understands that the once dominant National Hunt owners have plenty of horses in Closutton for the season ahead.
O’Leary, who manages Gigginstown on behalf of his brother Michael, commented: “All I will say is it’s been a long road without turning. We’ve had some great days with Willie and we look forward to working with him again this season. Shanbally Kid will be the first of them. We bought him after he won a bumper at Clonmel. “
