Horizon Forbidden West’s The new west coast setting isn’t just inhabited by creepy new machines. Aloy will also encounter tribes and cultures, some friends and some enemies. Guerrilla Games has released a video that introduces players to familiar tribes such as the Oseram, Utaru and Tenakth, giving a brief overview of their culture and status in this part of the country.
We see the Utaru, a culture in harmony with nature, singing songs in an attempt to save their ruined land. On the other hand, the warlike Tenakth, divided into three clans, acted as the dominant tribe in the Western Forbidden. One of those clans is Regalla, the rebel faction shown in earlier trailers going to war with their fellow clansmen. As powerful as Tenakth, the trailer hints at rumors of an even more powerful group residing in the outskirts of the Forbidden West.
