Honor 80 Pro Straight Screen Edition Launched With Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, 160 Megapixel Camera: Price, Specifications


Honor 80 Pro straight screen version has been launched in China as the latest product of the brand. The new smartphone in the Honor 80 series has the same specifications as the regular Honor 80 Pro. The new variant comes in three color options and features a 6.67-inch OLED display. Honor 80 Pro straight screen version is equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, combined with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. It is backed by a 4,800mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging.

The price of the new one Honor 80 Pro Straight screen version has been set at CNY 3,599 (about Rs 43,300) for the single 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. It is currently up for buying in China with Bright Black, Ink Jade Green, and Morning Glow (translated) color options. However, the official details of the global launch of the new device are yet to be confirmed.

Specifications of Honor 80 Pro Straight Screen Edition

The Honor 80 Pro straight screen version has the same specifications as the regular Honor 80 Pro. However, there is a difference. Honor 80 Pro dual-SIM (nano) straight screen version runs on Android 12-based Magic OS 7.0 interface and has a lower 6.67-inch OLED screen with resolution (1,080×2,400 pixels), aspect ratio 20:9 and 120Hz refresh rate. The display is rated to offer a maximum brightness of 1,000 units, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. It is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, paired with Adreno 730 GPU and 12GB of RAM.

As for optics, the Honor 80 Pro Straight Screen Edition has a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 160-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, a secondary 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a secondary camera. 2- megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video chats, there’s a 32-megapixel AI camera with f/2.4 aperture.

Connectivity options on the Honor 80 Pro Straightscreen Edition include 5G, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, NFC, USB OTG, GPS, and USB Type- C. Sensors on board include a compass, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, and gravity sensor. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. The new variant also supports face unlock.

The straight screen version of the Honor 80 Pro is supported by a 4,800mAh battery that supports 66W SuperFast fast charging. The device has dimensions of 162.5×75.3×7.9mm and weighs up to 193 grams.
