Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India reports total sales for October up 3.9%

The festive season has helped Honda increase sales. Both domestic sales and export volumes increased.

Honda’s motobike India’s motorcycles and scooters reported a 3.9% increase in sales. In October, their shipments stood at 449,391 units compared to 432,229 units in October 2021. The 2022 figure includes 425,969 units domestically and 23,422 units for export. By comparison, in 2021 these numbers are 394,645 domestic sales and 37,584 exports. Therefore, both domestic and export figures increased.

One reason behind the increase in sales is the holiday season. Honda has introduced a first outdoor campaign ‘Floating Showroom in the Backwaters of Kerala’ to increase easy accessibility for its customers. The floating gallery is essentially a gallery set up inside a boat, making a seven-day voyage before Onam, starting at Arookutty and covering more than 15 sites before mooring at the shores of Alleppey. The outdoor campaign, conceptualized by Tribes media, also pays homage to Kerala’s river-flowing shipping channels.

HMSI also announced that it has opened new Red Wing dealerships in several states such as Raigarh (Chhattisgarh), Kamareddy (Telangana), Katihar & Supaul (Bihar) and Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh). On the other hand, BigWing dealerships have been opened in Rajkot (Gujarat), New Delhi and two in Hyderabad (Telangana).

HMSI’s newest models are the CB300F, a naked streetfighter motorcycle that will be sold from BigWing dealers. The Activa there is a Premium version, a Dio’s Sport Edition is also released and a Shine Anniversary Edition is also introduced.
