Honda Launches Sporty Fit RS For Japan Only
Honda announced the Fit RS on Friday, the latest of five versions for the Fit in Honda’s home market of Japan. This car will never come to America, after Honda Stopped Fit hereso all we can really do is look at it with envy.
My colleague Adam Ismail mentioned Fit RS this morning aside, which I initially assumed might be a joke of some sort, because a slightly hotter Fit seems too good to be true. And, even if that’s true, it doesn’t matter much, because, again, America either failed to buy the Fit, or Honda was simply too lazy to continue selling the Fit in the United States. here and maybe trouble, or a bit of both.
Anyway, then I had work to do and moved on to thinking about other things for a few hours until browsing the web looking for something else, I happened Fit RS’s photo and therefore also irrefutable proof that it is morbid.
Honda has not released any power numbers for the Fit RS Motor1 says, “We were told it would have more power than the smaller versions of the compact hatchback.” That would be more than the 109 horsepower that the base Fit gets in Japan, which is already enough for a car that weighs around 2,500 pounds, depending on how many people sit in it. The Fit RS will also have front-wheel drive only, but in exchange, a car will get an RS badge.

However, of course, you’ll only be able to get this in Japan, and possibly Europe eventually, houses like good little cars. As a first-generation Fit owner, it’s interesting to see how far the Fit has come and not much has changed. My Fit also made 109 hp, when it was brand new, and my only complaint is that sometimes it doesn’t have more power. Dislike that more but a little, to help get through and all that. Then something like the Fit RS. Wow.
