Honda CL300 scrambler launched: Will it come to India?
Earlier, Honda’s motobike reveal the new CL500 at EICMA 2022, and now the Japanese manufacturer has launched the CL300 in the Chinese market. It is offered in two variants – Standard and Premium. At the moment, it has not been confirmed whether the CL300 Scrambler will launch in the Indian market or now.
The CL300 uses the same frame and engine as the Rebel 300. However, the subframe is different, it is now taller to accommodate a new single seat. The ground clearance of the Honda CL300 is 165 mm while the saddle height is 790 mm. The CL300 weighs 172 kg, 19 kg lighter than the Rebel 300.
Due to the same engine as the Rebel 300, it is a 286 cc, liquid-cooled type. The engine produces 25.34 horsepower, 5 horsepower lower than CB300R. The gearbox on duty is a 6-speed type.
Honda no longer uses 16-inch wheels like on the Rebel. Instead, the motorcycle now comes with a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. The pattern on the motorcycle is blocky but it’s important to note that the CL300 is not a sturdy off-road model.
