Honda City facelift revealed before launch Check out how it looks now


Honda Cars India is expected to launch the new generation City sedan soon. According to the report, the new facelift version of City will be launched in the Indian market sometime next month. While the automaker is gearing up for its first launch in 2023, upcoming representations of the compact sedan have leaked online. The images show what the New City will look like from the outside and provide a glimpse of the cabin, giving an idea of ​​the changes it will undergo before launching into showrooms.

The new Honda City will refresh its competition with rivals like hyundai weed, is also scheduled for an upgrade next month. It will also compete with other sedans in the compact segment, including the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia.

The new Honda City has some changes on the outside compared to the existing 5th generation model. Leaked images of the new Honda City show that the tweaked front bumper is one of the most obvious changes. The grille has also been redesigned, although the sedan will retain the older LED headlights. The chrome-plated design on the dial has also become thinner than the previous generation. While the sedan’s configuration remains largely the same as its predecessor, the rear bumper has been slightly tweaked.

Under the hood, Honda will offer the sixth-generation City with the same 1.5-litre petrol engine being used for existing models. Due to upcoming rear-drive emissions (RDE) standards, the automaker is expected to phase out diesel for the City. It’s one of Honda’s more popular engines. Instead, the automaker will likely offer a hybrid version of the sedan as well. Honda launched the e:HEV hybrid variant of Honda City last year.

The 1.5-liter petrol engine inside the City is capable of producing 121 hp and 145 Nm of torque. The engine will likely come with a 6-speed manual transmission as well as a CVT transmission. The petrol hybrid version can receive the eCVT transmission used in the Honda City e:HEV version.
