Hollow Knight: Silksong has been delayed
Hollow Knight: Silksong, the highly anticipated sequel to 2017’s Hollow Knight, has been delayed. Team Cherry’s marketing and publishing representative, Matthew Griffin, shared the announcement via Twitter, writing: “We were planning to release in the first half of 2023, but development is continuing. “

Revealed back in 2019, Hollow Knight: Silksong has been in development for almost five years. Throughout most of its development, Team Cherry kept quiet about the game’s content, scale, and release date. However, in time Introducing Xbox & Bethesda Games in 2022, the studio wowed fans with its vague gameplay, release timeframe, and news that the game would launch on Xbox Game Pass on day one. Immediately after these announcements, Sony confirms Silksong will also be available to play on PlayStation consoles.
Hollow Knight: Silksong follows the journey of fan-favorite NPC Hornet, the princess guarding Hallownest, as she embarks on her own journey. Team Cherry has yet to share the game’s new release window, but the upcoming title will be available on all consoles, PC and Mac.
