IO Interactive has announced that Hitman 3 will become Hitman World of Assassination later this month and will include all the levels from Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 in it for free.
More specifically, this major update to the Hitman trilogy will launch on January 26 and includes two major changes:
- “Hitman 3 will become ‘Hitman World of Assassination,’ which will also include access to Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 through our existing Access Pass system. Existing Hitman 3 owners will be able to upgrade for free. charges to Hitman World of Assassination on all platforms.”
- “We’re greatly simplifying the purchasing experience for new players. Hitman World of Assassination will be the only experience option to start playing.”
This update makes it possible for all Hitman 3 owners to have the same ownership of the underlying content, and it tries to eliminate confusion about which edition to buy to reach certain levels by only having one purchase option. Hitman Assassination World will cost $70 and include Hitman 3, Hitman 1 Game of the Year Access Card, and Hitman 2 Standard Access Card. You can also purchase the Hitman World of Assassination Premium Pack for $30 to get the Hitman 3 Premium Pack, the Hitman 3 Deadly Sins Collection, and the Hitman 2 Expansion Access Card.
