A panel including the Safety and Integrity Act (HISA) was added to the agenda for the Director of Watch Field Day taking place June 12-14 at Gulfstream Park.
The implementation of HISA is scheduled to take effect on July 1.
“We know that HISA is the most important topic in the industry today, so we worked to put together a panel,” said Roy Smith, event founder and track director at Horseshoe Indianapolis. intended to address the specific impact on the monitoring directors. “We are opening registration to anyone who wants to attend this important meeting.”
The HISA Board will include Jamie Richardson, Director of Tracking at Churchill Downs, and Glen Kozak, NYRA Senior Vice President, Capital Operations & Projects.
