However, the addition of unsaturated fats is recommended.
“Foods that contain healthy fats include oily fish, nuts, seeds, and some vegetables,” explains Harvard Health.
Increasing soluble fiber intake is also recommended because it removes harmful cholesterol from the body, known as low-density lipoprotein.
Plant sterols and stanols are also beneficial because they are structurally similar to cholesterol.
