“He’s such a good loser”

Renowned boxing analyst and coach Teddy Atlas, has voiced his views on the Usyk-Joshua rematch next month.

On August 20 in Saudi Arabia, Anthony Joshua has a chance to be a three-time heavyweight champion. Beating Oleksandr Usyk would avenge last year’s defeat and see him regain possession of the WBA, IBF and WBO titles once again.

Above latest episode of his podcast ‘The Fight’Atlas gave no praise to the former two-time heavyweight champion and even made a bold prediction that he would KOed by fellow Brit Joe Joyce if they meet in the ring:

“Joe Joyce can finish the bout with winners Usyk and Joshua.”

“I’ll tell you one thing that I think he knocked Joshua down.”

“How does that feel for you Brits? Put that in your pipe and smoke it.”

No wonder the Americans predicted another win for Usyk when the two collided again in Jeddah:

“I think Usyk will win [against Joshua]. I can’t fight Usyk, how can I fight him, he gives you no reason to resist. “

“He’s an undefeated and unified Cruiserweight champion of all titles, the best Cruiserweight ever outside of Holyfield, he’s an Olympic gold medalist.”

“He doesn’t know how to lose.”

The legendary former trainer is unlikely Joshua is still hungry, questioning how much that really means for him:

“I think Joshua is too good a loser.”

“He’s a classy guy, I’m not saying I want him to be a heavy loser – that says the wrong things. I’m just saying that sometimes it seems like Joshua accepts defeat too freely, like he did with Ruiz the first time in the Garden, almost like a guy making way too much money. “

“Sometimes I just feel that it’s not important enough for him anymore.”
