Xpulse 200T 4V is Rs 12,000 cheaper than Xpulse 200 4V.

Hero has launched the Xpulse 200T 4V in India for Rs 1,25,726 (former showroom, Delhi). The Xpulse 200T 4V was scouted quite a few times over the past few months and as we suspect it now has a more modern four-valve engine from Xpulse 200 4V.

  1. Rs 1,100 higher cost than the two-valve Xpulse 200T
  2. Has 17-inch wheels, more road-oriented
  3. There are three new color options

Hero Xpulse 200T 4V: new engine, style and features

The Hero Xpulse 200T 4V uses the same motor as the Xpulse 200 4V and also produces the same maximum output figures. The air- and oil-cooled engine, with a capacity of 199.6 cc, produces 19.1 hp at 8,500 rpm and 17.3 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Comes with this familiar engine is a 5-speed gearbox. These numbers give it peak output figures that are 0.7 hp more and 0.2 Nm more torque than Xpulse 200T 2V.

The Xpulse 200T 4V has a 37mm telescopic fork and a 7-step adjustable monoshock that takes care of the suspension. Braking duties are handled by a 276mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc, combined with single-channel ABS. Considering this is a more touring version of the Xpulse, the 200T 4V rolls on 17-inch cast alloy rims at both ends, wrapped in tubeless rubber in sizes 100/80-17 (front) and 130/70- R17 (rear part).

The design of the Xpulse 200T 4V is also quite different from the Xpulse 200T 2V. For starters, it now has a solid-color flyscreen at the front, a lower-positioned LED headlight, a fork guard, and a tubular handrail. It also goes in new three colors – Sports Red, Matt Funk Lemon and Matt Shield Yellow. It is equipped with the same bluetooth-compatible digital LCD display assembly found on other Xpulse models that can display navigational alerts and notifications. Other features include a USB charger, side kickstands, and gear indicator lights.

Hero Xpulse 200T 4V: price and competition

At Rs 1.26 lakh, the Hero Xpulse 200T 4V is very competitively priced and almost in a niche of its own. Its price is close enough to 150cc commuter bikes like the Yamaha FZS FI and Honda Xblade but the Xpulse outdoes them in terms of peak power thanks to the displacement advantage. The only motorcycle that can come close to it based on output and price data is TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.

All prices mentioned above are ex-showroom, Delhi.
