This means that the brand will offer mass-market products as well as premium products in both the motorcycle and scooter segments. “So does the mass market, and that will help us cater to different segments and different geographies,” he said. Srivastava also hinted that new products will start hitting the market in the next financial year.
Hero MotoCorp has started selling its Vida V1 electric scooter in cities like Delhi, Bengaluru and Jaipur. The company aims to gradually expand sales of the Vida V1 in other cities across India. “We’re launching a few more cities this quarter, and then nationwide next year with this Vida V1 product,” he added, “With a launch in three cities — Delhi, Bengaluru and Jaipur – where the customer is really taking over the product and the overall pre-sales and sales experience…we are really ready to expand to more cities in 2024 to expand the market school.”
Hero MotoCorp’s Vida V1 electric scooter competes with rivals like Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Ola S1 Pro, etc., companies that have established themselves in the country’s burgeoning electric two-wheeler market.
