Royal Enfield has sold more units than Suzuki for the third time in the past four months.
Sales figures of six heavy duty two-wheeler OEMs in the industry for the first month of 2023 have been revealed and here are the business results for each brand.
Hero MotoCorp: 3,49,437 units
The world’s largest two-wheeler maker recorded an 11.35% drop in sales from December 2022. Even compared to January 2022 sales, Hero reported a level of sales. down 2.6% from the same period last year. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI): 2,78,143 units
HMSI reported a 19.3% increase in sales compared to its announced sales in December 2022. However, the Japanese giant reported an 11.8% drop in sales. in January 2022. Last month, Honda launched the equipped electronic key Activate H-Smart scooters in india.
TVS Motor Company: 2,64,710 units
TVS reported a 16.3% increase in sales compared to December 2022 figures. When compared to January 2022 sales, the Hosur-based brand reported a significant increase. counted as 57.8%. TVS is one of the manufacturers to increase its market share in the two-wheeler in India between April and December 2022 and you can read more here.
Bajaj Auto: 1,40,428 pcs
Compared to the previous month, Chakan-based Bajaj Auto improved its sales for December 2022 by 11.9%. Compared to last January’s sales figures, Bajaj reported an increase of 3.6%. Royal Enfield: 67,702 pieces
Reporting sales of 67,202 units in January 2023, the RE not only increased by 13.2% compared to December 2022 sales, but also outsold Suzuki. This is the third time in four months Royal Enfield managed to do so although the Chennai-based brand retails the offerings larger and more expensive than Suzuki. Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SIMPL): 66,209 units
