The Air Quality Management Committee on Thursday decided to implement the measures under phase IV of the Classification Response Action Plan due to the worsening air quality in Delhi-NCR.
The following are the measures prescribed in phase IV.
1. Banning the use of four-wheeled light diesel vehicles in Delhi-NCR; BS-VI, essential and emergency service vehicles are exempt.
2. Prohibit entry of trucks other than electric and CNG trucks in Delhi; Essential items are exempt.
3. Prohibit construction and demolition in linear public projects such as highways, overpasses, overpasses, power transmission, pipelines in Delhi-NCR.
4. Shut down all industries that do not run on clean fuels in the ordered NCR, even in areas without PNG’s infrastructure and supplies, except for fuels according to the standard list of fuels. approved fuel for NCR. However, industries such as dairy and milk production units and those involved in the production of life-saving medical equipment or devices, drugs and medicines will be exempt from these restrictions.
5. The country decides to close schools, non-emergency commercial activities, and the parity plan for means of transport.
6. Central and state governments may decide to allow their employees to work from home.
7. Ban on diesel-powered medium and heavy cargo vehicles registered in Delhi. Those who carry essential items and provide essential services are exempt.
