Intel previously brought Arc 380 in China suffers from driver problems. Before long, rumors of the company shutting down the GPU business began to circulate, with 2023 being the year the company is expected to retire. Now, the CEO himself has confirmed that the company is ready to ship Arc A770 GPUs, it remains to be seen where the company plans to land them. The A770 is Intel’s first gaming-focused GPU, and it will most likely arrive first in China, as was the case with the A380, but otherwise Intel could choose to introduce them to international markets other major such as America and Europe first.
Arc 770 will be Intel’s first high-end GPU based on the DG2 Alchemist GPU. So far, Intel has released entry-level cards for desktops and high-end GPs for mobile platforms under the Arc series. Arc 770 will change that.
To the competitors, Nvidia may announce some cards from its RTX 40 series at its GTC 2022 fall keynote. GPU prices from Nvidia and AMD are also normalizing, “often falling below suggested retail price as operations run.” Ethereum-focused mining operations are removing their tokens after the Consolidation,” as reported by Tom’s Hardware.
