Hemant government looting state by wagonloads: Union home minister Amit Shah | India News

DUMKA: The JMM-led mahagathbandhan government of Jharkhand is the most corrupt government in the country and loots with tractors and trucks in the mineral rich state, Union interior minister Amit Shah said Saturday at an event to consolidate BJP votes in the tribal heartland for the 2024 Lok Sabha election.
“I have no qualms about saying that this UPA government led by Hemant Soren is the most corrupt government in the country. They plundered the state not only with their hands, but also with tractors and wagons (referring to illegal mining),” he said in Deoghar, while attending the BJP’s Vijay Sankalp Yatra – the party’s campaign for the war elections.
On his second visit to Jharkhand within a month for the yatra, he accused the Soren government of turning a blind eye to Bangladeshi illegal settlements in the state and putting the people there at risk of losing their homes and livelihoods. chew.
“The ongoing Bangladeshi infiltration into the state has taken a serious toll on the demographics of the state. The tribal population has been depleted from 39% to 24% and this government has turned a blind eye because of its vote-banking politics. The Soren government is facilitating infiltration and allowing the expropriation of tribal lands and exploitation of girls and women here,” Shah said.
The Union minister exhorted the crowd in the temple town to vote for the BJP for office because it would stop looting and save the folk-tribes.
He also criticized Congress, a partner in the government, saying that “funds destined for the tribes are being transferred to Delhi durbar”, referring to the party’s senior commander.
Shah predicts that BJP will win all 14 seats of Lok Sabha in Jharkhand because people are tired of corruption and bad management. He highlighted the Modi government’s development work in the Santhal Pargana department and urged the people to vote for the BJP.
He said the previous BJP government in Jharkhand had continued to build AIIMS, the national airport and highway, among other things, but the JMM-led coalition “does nothing for the state”.
“What has the current government done for Jharkhand? Our government is giving each farmer of Jharkhand Rs 6,000 per year. What did you give them, Hemantji? Narendra Modiji has given free gas cylinders to every home in the state, but what has the Soren government done so far?”
Shah prayed at the Babadham Baidhyanathdham temple and laid the groundwork for a liquid urea plant by the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative (IFFCO) in the Jasidih industrial park. He praised IFFCO for the factory, the fifth of its kind in the country, saying it would create jobs for locals.
The interior minister also spoke about cybercrime hub Jamtara, saying that the Modi government is providing all the help to the state to check online criminals, but “the Soren government is doing nothing to check them”. .
He said crimes against women have increased under the current regime. “In Sahibganj, innocent Jharkhand’s daughter, Rebika Pahadin, was brutally murdered. Similarly, Dumka’s young daughter Ankita was also brutally killed. These heinous crimes have nothing to do with prime minister Hemant Soren? Is he not responsible? Innocent girls in our tribal society are being brutally murdered, but Soren is still the mother. He should be ashamed, he said.
The threat of Maoist insurrection, he said, has diminished over the years thanks to the Center’s efforts. “Modiji has eliminated Naxalism and extremism in the state. Operation Octopus, Operation Double Bull and Operation Chakrabandha were among many in which large numbers of Naxalites and extremists surrendered. Several others were disqualified. Jharkhand is now peaceful thanks to the policies of the Modi government.”
