Helen Mirren dismissed the idea that older women shouldn’t have long hair in an interview on ITV Lorraine on Thursday, March 8. The actress, 77, said that she loves to keep her hair long, ever since she kept her hair long during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although Helen admits that she’ll probably cut it off eventually, it sure looks good.

When the interviewer asked Helen about her hair and complimented her on it, Queen actress offered a stereotype about older women not having long hair, before sharing how she started to grow her hair long. “You shouldn’t grow your hair any longer after a certain age,” she says. “During COVID, I started to grow my hair, and I really haven’t grown my hair since I was actually in my 20s, and it just kept getting longer and longer and I basically couldn’t care less about it. cutting it off.”

As she continued, she talked about how she enjoy the new look. “I think, you know, it’s pretty cool. I think I’m going to stick with it for a while, and so it’ll eventually go away, but I quite like it,” she said. “It was quite radical.”
