A study published in the journal Circulation: Cardio Heart Genetics found that men shorter than 5 feet 3 inches had a 65% lower risk of developing blood clots than men taller than 6 feet 2 inches.
Extra height may also increase the risk of developing cancer, at least according to an article published in the Lancet.
Research done in 2016 found that the risk of dying from cancer increased by 4% for every 2.5 inches of height due to the potential for increased organ size and signs of overnutrition.
Taller people are more likely to get prostate cancer in men and breast, ovarian, endometrial, and colon cancer in women.
