In another battle of star defenders, it could be the defense that decides Sunday’s winner.
Patrick Mahomes faces Tom Brady for the sixth time, and Sunday’s contest could be the finale. Mahomes was 2-1 in the regular season and 0-2 in the post-season game against Brady.
But it’s not necessarily the quartets facing each other, it’s the defense they are facing. Both are improving opposites.
Mahomes battled the Buccaneers defense that are giving just nine points a game. In Week 1, Tampa beat the Dallas Cowboys 19-3. In Week 2, the Bucs beat the New Orleans Saints 20-10. However, the fault for Tampa was anything but electricity, and that weakness showed in Week 3 when it played the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay won 14-12 last weekend.
