News
‘Fire Emblem Engage’ appears in the next ‘Tetris 99’ Maximus Cup
we do not receive 99 . puzzle Maximus Cup events happen as often as they do, but I suppose that’s to be expected after all this time. Even when one showed up, it felt like it was late compared to any party they were supposed to go to. Anyway, there’s a new one coming out this weekend. It is a Fire Emblem joins themed events, and as usual, you’re tasked with earning a hundred event points to unlock a permanent theme. It starts on Friday and runs through the weekend.
Reviews & Mini Views
Fire Keeper ($11.99)
This game is not over yet. It foreshadows that in its description, so it’s not hiding it or anything. But very similar to what you would call Early Access, and that equates to a roguelite action game with significantly less meat than similarly priced competitors. There are some neat ideas here. I love how you manage your fire, as it is both your health and a valuable resource moving forward. The combat is pretty good and I like the tower defense elements. However, there is not enough here. As a result, what’s here gets stale quickly.
keeper of the flame may end up being a great example of the roguelite genre, but in this incomplete form it is too small to attract too much attention. You can easily watch everything worth watching for a few hours, and while that’s not bad for the money, it’s not great compared to other games of its kind you can pick up for a similar price. . Like I said, I can’t revisit an unknown future. I can only look at what is here in front of me now, and in that context keeper of the flame no problem.
SwitchArcade Score: 3/5
Mato Anomaly ($39.99)
The premise of this game sounds great and the screenshots look interesting so I’m excited to play it. That’s not something that happens to me often. Sure, it looks a bit more modern inspired personality game, but I don’t think that’s really a hard target to aim for even with a limited budget. After all, it was Atlus who made its games on a tight budget until very recently. Unfortunately, Abnormal Mato just not very good. It’s not a thing, either. It seems to appear unilaterally in everything it does. Serious technical problems. Clumsy writing. A card game that is not very well designed. The overall plot is interesting, the art design is solid, and the combat system is okay. That’s about all the good things I have to say.
With so many great Switch RPGs to choose from, Abnormal Mato really shouldn’t be on anyone’s radar. That’s unfortunate, because there are a lot of promising elements here that can complement something neat. However, execution is what matters and that’s where Abnormal Mato seems to fail in every genre. Even without significant performance issues, fundamental design flaws lead to something that I can’t really recommend to anyone but those who enjoy fire and explosion analysis.

New release
Have a Beautiful Death ($24.99)
You are the old Grim Reaper, the God of Death. Normally, you’d go back and enjoy a break at the driving range, but your employees are becoming rebellious and really upsetting the balance of souls. Looks like it’s time to do the boss’s job and wake them up. This is a roguelite action game, and it’s pretty fun. The combat is really flashy, and the presentation is fantastic. There’s a gimmick if you use too many abilities you’ll get punished by the labor council or something like that, which is pretty funny. I will be doing a review on this one soon.
Saint Maker ($13.99)
Well, this is one of those rare Switch visual novels that has nothing to do with romance. This is a horror game set in a haunted monastery. Yeah, that sounds pretty neat. You will be called to make choices here and there, and if you choose the correct answer, you will receive a bonus scene at the end. Reviews on other platforms are quite positive, so if you’re craving a good read, this could be your ticket for today.
Puppies ($4.99)
In the past, you would have been lucky enough to see one or two passingconsole style game. cross puppy maybe the fiftieth or sixtieth of the Switch. It’s primarily dog-focused, but it also has some cat stuff if you want to go in that direction. You get over a hundred puzzles of various sizes and four garden areas that you can decorate if you need a break from messing around with them.
The sale
(North American eShop, US price)
Some really good sales on the list today. Blossom Tales II, Demon TurfAnd Ammo per minute are at new lows. Those are all really great games. There are other great deals on the list, so take a close look. Outbox is quite large, with lots of standalone sales packages. Check that list carefully too. This… I ordered.
