Harden overtakes Reggie Miller to get third out of three pointers taken
Philadelphia 76ers star guard James Harden will meet his former Brooklyn Nets team at home Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center.
That’s not necessarily the biggest setting for this rivalry game exactly a month after Harden was tackled to Philadelphia in a package that included Ben Simmons. Rather, it’s Simmons’ return to the City of Brotherly Love despite the fact that he’s not playing.
In any case, Harden quickly grabbed headlines from Mr. Simmons in the first quarter. That includes the former NBA MVP nailing three pointers with 6:50 remaining on the opening stanza. It represented Harden’s 2,561th career to hit three points, edging past Hall of Famer Reggie Miller to third on the NBA all-time list.
