Some of the greatest freedom fighters our country has ever witnessed include (but are not limited to) Neta Ji Subash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Mangal Pandey, Mahatma Gandhi, Rani LakshiBai, Sarojini Naidu, Chandra Shekhar Azad and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. They showed great courage and bravery and rebelled against the British Empire to demand freedom for their beloved homeland. The movement of nonviolence and civil disobedience led by Matama Gandhi along with other Indian fighters restricted the British from leaving India.
