Halo Infinite players win over 100 consecutive free matches

There are top-notch Halo Infinite players, really great players, ranked Onyx players, and then there’s Remy “Mint Blitz”, an Australian streamer who has won over 100 consecutive free games.

First reported by Kotaku, Mint Blitz originally aimed to win 50 free games in a row in The recently released multiplayer (and free-to-play) installment of Halo Infinite. However, after winning 50 games in a row, he lifted the record and looked to win 100 games in a row… and he did. In fact, he went on to win more and more, eventually breaking the record surrounding the “105, 106 in a row” win.

The streamer said it took him about a week to accumulate 100 straight wins, and it was basically perfect, save for one glitch: His PC froze and he was forced out of Halo Infinite . However, his video shows him getting a 10-point boost, meaning he’s almost certain to win. Considering freezing the computer is out of hand, Mint Blitz has a good chance of doing it. When he restarted the game, he was back on his winning streak.

After all was said and done, Mint Blitz provided some feedback for the free-for-all mode. At the top of his list is the lack of free-to-play Sniper Rifles. He said it only spawns on one map and even then, only about 50% of the time. This forces him to tackle the challenge in a different way (instead of relying on multiple sniping, which he seems to point out is how he often accomplished so many wins in older Halo titles). ).

He also highlights some guns that he finds particularly useful, and some of the quirks he’s discovered with them, too. Mint Blitz says the Shock Rifle is great – it can kill people with a single headshot – but to get a headshot you have to actually shoot behind a player when they’re running in one direction. He also said the Plasma Pistol needs its EMP features back, but otherwise the classic “combo noob” – fire a charged blast, switch to a precision weapon like the Sidekick pistol and take down them with a quick shot – works as good as ever.

He said the Mauler is probably the best gun in Halo Infinite, citing its large ammo capacity, deadly accuracy, and strong melee ability. If you watch his videos, you can see that the Repulsor is something he uses quite often to launch enemies off cliffs and through gaps leading to fatal deaths.

“Winning 100 games in a row is extremely stressful,” Blitz said in a video he posted on YouTube to share the feat. “I had my friends, and as I got through the ’90s, all of them [said] ‘don’t choke at 100, Remy, don’t choke. It would be really bad if you messed up the last match. ‘ I was panicking that I would choke. ”

However, this record ended after he was unable to pass someone on the Halo Infinite’s Bazaar map. Here, I feel proud of myself for ranking up to Diamond…
