Gypsy Rose shares her thoughts on the Menendez brothers’ case

On Sunday, October 13, TMZ has released a video interview with Gypsy Rose, recorded at Los Angeles International Airport. Rose appeared with her fiancé, Ken Urker, as they appeared to be checking in for a flight. While there, the reporter asked Rose to share his thoughts on the Menendez brothers’ case.

In response, Rose explained that she hadn’t followed their case “very much.”

“I had no formal training on their case or anything,” she said.

The reporter then went on to briefly explain that Erik and Lyle Menendez were sent to prison in the late 90s for the 1989 murder of their parents. Additionally, the reporter explained that new evidence seemed to support support their claims that their parents abused them. Finally, the reporter explained that he wanted Rose’s perspective on this challenge. It should be noted that Rose was sentenced to 10 years in prison for allegedly asking her boyfriend to murder her mother in 2015, when she was a teenager.

Rose reiterated that she could not speak about her brother’s case. But she explained that she is “an advocate for abuse victims in general” and that she also believes in prison reform.

Before the interview ended, the reporter informed Rose that Kim Kardashian had recently “protected” the brothers and campaigned for them to be released from prison. In contrast, Rose explained that Kardashian is a “wise woman” who “makes the right decisions.”

“I think she’s in prison reform and I think she’s doing well in that regard,” Rose said.

Furthermore, the reporter asked Rose to share the advice she would give Erik and Lyle Menendez if they were released from prison.

“It’s hard to come out of a world that has changed so much — even in the time I’ve been through,” Rose said. “Adaptation is a difficult thing, so I would say, take your time, adjust properly and get treatment. Because you will need it in this world and this time.”
