“I want to go back,” Gus said. “Minutes after they injected me with epinephrine, I was completely fine and feeling fine, awake as ice cold, breathing well. I was like, ‘Oh, I want to come back.’ They say, ‘You can’t go back. There is a risk of repeat anaphylaxis and we cannot do that.’”

Gus admits that the whole situation is very brief. He was given an injection of epinephrine within 10 minutes of his reaction. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and monitored for 24 hours.

“I was feeling fine. I was fine even before I got in the ambulance,” he said hollywood life. “Epinephrine did it, but only the repetition of anaphylaxis. They couldn’t let me in again. I asked and begged for it, but they said there was no way.”

So far, the 31-year-old still doesn’t know exactly what he’s allergic to. “But I think and feel very sure it’s something underwater,” he revealed. “The water itself was there before Day One. We all had to crawl through this coarse mud and into the water, into the sand and back into the water. It’s like 120 degrees outside. That water just sits and grows bacteria. I feel like something in the water, like mold or some kind of bacteria has grown. During one of the jumps, I accidentally swallowed some and went into anaphylactic shock.”

If he had a chance to experience Special Forces Once again, the Olympic athlete concedes that he will probably take a chance. “It wasn’t a pleasant experience, but when I went back to it, I think I could have been better prepared obviously knowing what was going to happen,” he said. hollywood life. “I think the whole show, the whole experience was done to push each person to their limits. Even if I do get into it, I think I’ll end up being pushed in a different way by the DS than I was last time, and I’ll eventually learn something new about myself. I think I might do it. It sucks to do that. Every day is brutal, but at the end of the experience, I feel better for having done it.”

The famous rookies went through some brutal missions during their time on the show. Gus noted that tear gas mission was the “worst thing” he had to go through. “But I think the hardest thing for me was pushing the Jeep,” he added. “I think on TV it’s not really translated, but it’s not like pushing a car that’s in neutral and you’re pushing it. It doesn’t move. Under-inflated tire. There is a lot of sand. With each step, your feet sink deep into the sand. The Jeep barely moved. I think I tried my best, but you moved the car 10 feet.
