Gunna releases first MV since YSL Plea Deal

Gunna returned to music after he accepted a plea deal during the YSL RICO trial. EQUAL Shade room previously reported, the rapper has been accused of “petty theft” against his accomplices. Gunna released his first music video since he was released from prison on Friday

On Friday, the rapper released his first song and music video since being released from the Fulton County jail in December. The song is titled “”bread butter,” and has garnered over 1.3 million views since its release.

As the music video begins, news clips play from the rapper’s previous case. Then he emerged from the shadows of a mansion in Hollywood, California.

As the rap begins, Gunna mentions his prison time and explains that he’s found out who his “true partner” is.

“I went down badly inside a dark tunnel, yeah
Fuck them guys, I discovered my real partners
And who is only with me because I have dollars?

Additionally, he seems to be referring to an undisclosed reviewer who is “doing business with a rat.”

Peepin’ shit, I’m seeing niggas fall back
You niggas bitch ass make me the topic of conversation
You excite me when you know you’re trading with a rat

And the boy is like your brother, and no one talks about it.”

The rapper also mentioned YSL “Lawyers” and “DA”

As the rapping continued, the “Drip Too Hard” rapper defended that he never spoke ill.

“Never make any statements or agree not to take their side
On whatever you niggas on, then trust me, I’ll stand on it

In addition, he mentioned the “sneaky” behavior of the attorneys and DAs involved in the YSL RICO case.

“The lawyers and DA did some sneaky stuff, I fell in love with it
On my Ps and Qs because, this time, I prepared for it, yeah”

“I don’t sit here and play games, man. That man said.

“You should have gone in there and shut your mouth.”

In addition, he explains his strong disdain for “rats”.

“I hate all rats. If you’ve ever said, you’ve said – I hate you. Like with a passion… That made me who I am today [but] he’s taken half of my life – his mother is telling me, and that’s who I need…”
