Purebred Group 1 winner Nurlan Bizakov Belbek (Fr) (Showcasing {GB}), which was a huge hit at the G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere earlier this month, will not be attending the Breeders’ Cup meeting in Keeneland, and instead enjoying the winter break. Trained by Andre Fabre, this pony also won the G3 Prix du Bois in June.
Fabre said: “He finished for the year, we decided he didn’t need to run again. “I don’t see him having a problem staying a mile next season, he won’t have a problem staying this season, it’s just that he’s got five runs and I don’t think he He needs to run again.
“Obviously, we’ll give him a prep race next spring to see if he’s good enough for the British Guineas.”
Fabre also provided an update on Place Du Carrousel (Ire) (Lope De Vega {Ire}), who won the G1 Prix de l’Opera, but the Breeders’ Cup bid is also not on her dance card.
“She won’t be attending the Breeders’ Cup, I’m not a fan of the course [Keeneland],” Fabre said. “She will stay in training and come back next year. She runs very lightly. “
