Group 1 for minors El Bodegon (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}) will go to France and compete for the G1 Grand Prix de Paris on July 14 according to coach James Ferguson. “He is in really good condition and has come out [Prix du Jockey Club] good,” said the trainer. “We are happy to have him at home and we are looking forward to returning to France for the Grand Prix de Paris.
“Some of the horses that we were likely to try to avoid ran in [G1] Irish Derby or will come [G1] King George or [G1] Eclipse. Hopefully that opens up the option for us to compete where we’re strongest with this horse [France] and where we might have the best chance of getting some rain, which I think is probably the most important factor. “
