GrimGrimoire Remaster Coming to the West Next Spring
Before Vanillaware made a name for itself with titles like 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and Dragon’s Crown, it soon found success with a mini-game called GrimGrimoire. The side-scrolling strategy game enjoyed massive success when it launched PlayStation 2 in 2007, but it made headlines again this year with the release of GrimGrimoire OnceMore in Japan in July. Now we know. when players in the US and Europe get to experience Lillet’s magical adventures again or for the first time.
GrimGrimoire OnceMore is coming to the West in Spring 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch. The game stars Lillet Blan, a trained witch who attends the famous Tower of Silver Star magic school, where things go awry. It’s up to her to uncover its dark secrets in an adventure that unfolds in a repeating five-day cycle. Despite being a spin-off, the player battles enemies by summoning and commanding Families in real-time strategic battles that take place in 2D.
OnceMore has HD graphics, new skill tree, improved user interface, art gallery and other unknown features.
Fans may remember the Odin Sphere made a similar return in 2016 with Leifthrasir version, and it’s nice to see GrimGrimoire getting the same treatment. Are you excited to play GrimGrimoire again? Will this be your first time trying? Let us know in the comments section!
