Grand Theft Auto 5 New generation loading time will save you a lot of time
Grand Theft Auto V is out today, again, this time as a new generation game for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, and perhaps unsurprisingly its load times are so good.
In fact, they are so great, playing on the new generation consoles will save you a lot of time in Los Santos. That’s because load times are 150% faster in some cases, and even in the new generation version’s worst loading times, it’s still significantly faster than the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. Here’s a breakdown of what happens:
GTA V Xbox Series X vs Xbox One Loading Times – Brand new gameplay:
- Xbox one: One minute 59 seconds, theo MrWilliamThor’s comparison video on YouTube
- Xbox Series X: 59 seconds, according to MrWilliamThor’s comparison video on YouTube
GTA V PS5 loading time vs PS4 – Brand new game:
- PS5:39 seconds (in my personal experience – however, IGN reported that their new game takes only 11 seconds to load)
- PS4: 2 minutes 18 seconds, theo IGN
As you can see, the new generation GTA V versions have significantly faster loading times and as a result you will save a lot of time in Los Santos. Furthermore, this faster load time translates to all load types in GTA V. While we mark the loading times of new games, the loading times are different on the new generation versions, such as the start. Games from an autosave, showed similarly fast load times.
