Gran Turismo 7 update just started to fix credits and rewards issues

When Gran Turismo 7 comes out, it marks the release Another great entry in the long-running simulation racing series. However, after a while, players began to realize that cars in GT7 have a lot higher in-game credit prices than in previous games.

Furthermore, after an update that reduces credits and rewards earned for some races has put the game offline for more than 24 hours, players were even more frustrated with some of the decisions developer Polyphony Digital made. So much so that the president of Polyphony Digital Kazunori Yamauchi has released an apology containing promises to fix the game’s economy in regards to credits, rewards, and more. He said that the fixes will come in the April update and it looks like that update is currently living.

Released today, Update 1.11 contains many improvements and adjustments to the GT7’s economy and more.

Here’s a full look at what happens after installing Update 1.11:

first. World circuit

  • The number of rewards for events in the second half of the World Circuit has been increased.
  • New racing events have been added to the World Circuit. The new events are as follows:
    • World travel car 600 Tokyo Expressway clockwise
    • World Touring Car 700 24 Heures du Mans Racing Circuit
    • World Touring Car 800 Sardegna Road Track A
  • Adjusted rewards for Arcade races and custom races

2. Circuit experience

  • Bonuses are now provided for clearing all circuit layouts in a Gold or Bronze result. If you have achieved these results, entering the industry selection screen and exiting with the Exit button will award the prize.

3. Lobby / Sports mode

  • The number of rewards in the Daily Hobby and Race has been increased.
  • Fixed an issue where tracking while racing in the Lobby wouldn’t let you switch to the tracking camera.
  • Changed the National Cup and Producer Cup so that the Championship-specific Helmet thumbnail is displayed.
  • When room mode was set to ‘Practice / Endurance Race’, adjusted finish time when the course setting was set to ‘Time Limit’.
  • Changed the camera movement before the race started in the Daily Race when the start method was set to Form.

4. Mission

  • Added ‘The Human Comedy’ to Missions, containing 1-hour endurance races. ‘The Human Comedy’ will be playable when the player’s Collect Level is 23. Each endurance event will award up to 1.2 million Cr. each event.
  • Race information such as Start Grid, number of laps or time limit, starting method, etc. is now displayed in the Race event Quick Menu.
  • Best records for limited time events and Friend Ratings Recordings are now saved and displayed in the format [Ranking/Number of Laps]
  • Ratings have been reset for the following Limited Time events *
    • Gone with the Wind – 30-minute high-speed ringing.
    • The sun also rises – Le Mans 24 min.
    • The sun also rises – Bathurst Gr. 3 battles

* The best records available will only show ‘Ranking.’ Once a similar or better result has been established, it will be saved in the format ‘Ranking / Round Number.’ For Friend Ratings, if a Bronze or better result is set, it will be saved even if the result falls below the best record.
5. Game progress

  • Increased the maximum limit for in-game earned credits to Cr 100 million.
  • The following newly received ‘invitation’ will be valid for 30 days instead of 14 days.

7. Car

15. Replay

  • Up until now, the controls menu had appeared using any button on the controller, but this has been changed so that it will now only appear when using the confirm and cancel buttons.

16. Sound

  • Music will now be played back in Surround Sound when the audio output mode is set to ‘7.1 Surround Sound’ output.
    • On PlayStation®4, this playback applies when the connected device is 5.1 ch or 7.1 ch compatible and the ‘Audio Out Mode’ in ‘Preferences’ is set to ‘7.1 Surround Sound. ‘

  • Added three new features to move the cursor.
