Google Flights offers a variety of options to help you save on travel costs, and now the tech giant has added another feature to your toolkit to help you get super cheap airfare. When you search with Google Flights, the best options appear at the top of the results, based on a combination of price and convenience. But sometimes, there may be cheaper options available for those willing to forgo convenience to get the best deal. For example, there may be a third-party booking site that offers lower prices than the airline itself. Or you can save by flying back to another airport in the same city from which you departed.

To help you better find these deals, Google is adding a new “Cheapest” tab on Google Flights. You can now enter your trip details and tap “Cheapest” to reveal more options at even lower prices. This update will roll out globally over the next two weeks, wherever Google Flights is available.
You can see that some of the options in the “Cheapest” tab involve more…creative itineraries, such as longer layovers, self-transfers, or purchasing different legs of the trip through many airlines or booking sites. But for those times when cost is more important than convenience, the new tab gives you an easy way to see the lowest prices available and then decide for yourself what trade-offs you want to make.
