Google releases Android 15 beta 2.1 update to fix private space issue on Google Pixel phones- All details

The update, described as minor in the release notes, is available now for all eligible Google Pixel devices and retains the May 2024 security patch date of Beta 2. Google has provided some tips for using the privatespace feature, including instructions on how to retrieve the feature if hidden, how to reset it if you forget the unlock factor, and how to install the privatespace version of the app by pressing and holding the app icon and tapping ‘Privacy settings.’

There’s a notable difference in update size, with one device initially showing a 2.57GB update before downloading, but a subsequent check showing a 12.12MB update. This suggests that Google may have initially sent the full OTA to all users, which was later corrected.

Android 15 Beta 2.1 is exclusive to Google Pixel phones only. This update does not apply to new devices announced as part of the extended Android 15 beta program, which includes models from Honor, Iqoo, Lenovo, Nothing, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Sharp, Tecno, Vivo and Xiaomi, will receive separate updates. beta release.
