Google Pixel 7a memory and RAM details leaked online

The Google Pixel 7a – the purported successor to the Pixel 6a – has been rumored for quite some time now. Recently, a hands-on video appeared on the Web revealing its design and display specifications. Now, a new leak hints at the handset’s RAM and storage details. The Google Pixel 7a is said to come with 8GB of DDR5 RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Pixel 6a offers 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the standard Pixel 7 has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

The practice videos of the Google Pixel 7a was leaked by a Facebook group a few days ago. Most recently, known @chunvn8888 on Twitter complain that Google locked the rogue prototype unit. Screenshot posted by the tipper on Twitter showing the fastboot menu and suggesting the amount of RAM and storage space of the device. The Google Pixel 7a is said to have 8GB of DDR5 RAM and 128GB of internal storage. If this rumor has weight, it will be more of an upgrade Pixel 6a 6GB memory. The fastboot menu also shows the codename “lynx”, which is said to belong to the Pixel 7a.

A previously leaked hands-on video has hinted at the complete design of the phone, which is said to have the same design language as its predecessor, the Pixel 6a. It is presented with thick bezels and a perforated cut that aligns in the middle. The Pixel 7a’s display is said to have a 90Hz refresh rate. It also proposes Dual SIM support and dual rear cameras.

Previously reported indicates that the Google Pixel 7a will be launched in May during the company’s annual I/O conference. It is expected to come with Samsung’s 90Hz 1080p OLED display. The dual rear camera setup is said to include a 64-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. Google’s Tensor G2 SoC along with a Qualcomm chip is expected to power the device. It is said to also support 5W wireless charging.
