Google Docs Shortcuts Poster
By popular demand, I made Google Docs posters for shortcuts similar to Google Slides poster. Print out this poster for easy reference of some helpful Google Docs tips.
Popular Shortcuts
The shortcuts I chose for this poster are the ones I use most often! I use CLEAN SHIFT control for some pretty regular words. Not because I care more about the quantity than the quality of my students’ work, but because the things I work on are helpful knowing word counts! (For example, the ideal word count for a blog post is 300.)
Insert comment is my probably most used shortcut next to Control C and Control V is Control Alt CODE. This inserts a comment! I am ALWAYS collaborating, even when I am collaborating with myself. I’ll highlight some text and use Control Alt M to comment on it. It could be a note for myself when I go back to it or a note for others to see.
Page break
Forcing text to start on a new page can be really helpful. I hate when my directions are split in two. Input Control force a page break and I can be sure that the text is where I want it to be.

Doc to Slides
After you create a Google Doc, you may also want to present your ideas in Google Slides. Use this Add-on (created by Alice Keeler… me) to quickly create Google Slides from your text. Note: this does not work with tables or images.
