Google Chrome AI Features
Google has shared a detailed blog parcel which highlights three new Chrome AI features that use Google AI and Gemini models. To start, the tech giant revealed that Chrome on desktop will now integrate Google Lens, allowing users to select, search, and ask questions that are opened on the web. This feature is quite similar to how we use the Circle to Search feature, however, for desktop users, accessing this functionality is different.
To access the Google Lens search feature, users need to click on the Lens icon located on the address bar and then tap anywhere on the screen to activate the visual search feature. Once the feature is activated, a new side panel will appear where users can access relevant search results. Additionally, Google also offers a multiple search feature that allows users to ask follow-up questions.

Google also unveiled a new feature called “Tab Compare” designed for people who like to shop online and look for better deals and prices than those available on other platforms. The feature uses AI to provide an overview of multiple tabs and create a window comparing specifications, features, prices, ratings, and more. The third and final feature will be available on Google Chrome, using AI to revisit open tabs. On the search tab, users can simply type in prompts like “Which ice cream shop did I visit last week?” and it will provide results from their browsing history. However, note that the Tab Compare and Browsing feature will be rolled out in the US. These are some of the important and advanced AI features that will significantly reduce user frustration.
