GM doesn’t offer purchases to Chevy dealers who don’t want electric vehicles

GM may have Okay Cadillac and Buick agent one the option to exit their franchise as a brand switch to EVs, but Chevy dealership will not be renewed same luxurious. The Verge report that GM’s main brand dealerships will be doorless and are expected to offer all electric vehicles.

Interestingly, Chevy Global Chief Scott Bell says that Buick and Cadillac dealers leaving the franchise is a win for Chevrolet.. While those dealers might have thought they’d dodged an EV bullet and might have gone the other way, GM was in for a surprise. Those agents are will still have to sell electric cars. Bell shared that those dealers could end up selling Chevy’s electric cars. “As soon as they come back and say, ‘You know what, I’m not ready to go all out for those brands,’ they’re 100% Chevy dealers now, which is a good thing for Chevrolet,” he say.
Bell also pointed out that he thinks dealers that continue to sell the Bolt are telling GM that they are committed to the brand’s electric vehicles. “They raised their hands: ‘I’m on top’ Flash. They are definitely committed to the Chevy brand.” Agents just do what is needed to support EVswhich one can so poor hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars invested become rencouragement – anything else a lot of dealers are still not for sale.
