Gilas Pilipinas loses to Cambodia, falls short of SEA Games 2023 men’s 3×3 gold
MANILA, Philippines–Philippines won the silver medal after bowing to hosts Cambodia, 20-15, in the men’s 3×3 at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games on Sunday.
Against a Cambodia with three naturalized players marching, Gilas Pilipinas is only a shadow of the overwhelming self that had crushed the opponent the day before.
Almond Vosotros had six points, Lervin Flores and semi-final hero Joseph Sedurifa were fourth each while Joseph Eriobu finished with a point in the attempt at Morodok Techo National Stadium in Phnom Penh.

The Philippines bravely pressed in until Brandon Peterson, a 6-foot-9 American boxer playing in Argentina, scored from open range to restore order for the home team.
Sayeed Bridgett then hit a long bomb to make Cambodia 19-15, effectively removing the fighting from the Filipinos at the last minute.
Vosotros, in a brief chat after the competition, urged his teammates to hold their heads high as the home team did not play with locals.
Chhorath Tep, a permanent member of the Cambodia national team in the 5v5 competition, did not compete in the gold medal match.
However, Gilas managed to have an improved opening game with the finish, as it only won a bronze medal in the previous SEA Games.
Before that, the beautiful woman Gilas Pilipinas also settle for second place after losing to Vietnam in the final.
