Gigi Hadid can now add “brand founder” to her running list of achievements. On Thursday, August 4, the supermodel gave a sneak peek at her latest project, Guest at the inn, on Instagram. Sharing the behind-the-scenes process of creating her line of knitwear, she posted a gallery of images showing the brand’s logo, clothing tags, color swatches and piles of sweaters, plus she also wear what looks like very soft knitted fabrics. A photo shows some fabrics that are 100% cashmere.
Hadid was also seen working alongside the stylist and fashion editor Gabrielle Karefa-Johnson; CJ Kim, a sweater and knitwear designer who has worked with Theory, The Row and Helmut Lang; and fashion journalist Kevin McIntosh Jr. “doing something… with love, @guestinresidence 💛🧵 :),” she captioned the post. Although the launch date and other information are yet to be revealed, the Instagram accounts of Guest in Residence and website is active. “Coming soon,” the site currently reads.
Although Hadid is currently officially introducing the label, she mentioned her desire to establish her own brand last summer. In an interview with I in June 2021, she shared that she was working on design ideas for her own brand, having had “all [her] At the time, she said, dreams come true in the fashion field. ” collaboration with longtime friend and founder Frankies Bikinis Francesca Aiello for a Americana-inspired swimwear collection.
