“Get signed f**** contract”
Via Charles Brun: Tyson Fury took to social media on Monday to urge cruiser Derek Chisora to sign for their trio bout.
According to Eddie Hearn, 38-year-old Chisora (33-12, 23 KOs) turned down an offer for him to fight a third fight with WBC heavyweight champion Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) ).
Chisora is likely to want the same amount as Dillian Whyte received for his championship shot against Fury last April at Wembley Stadium in London. Is Chisora Worth Paying? $5 million against Fury?
This writer doesn’t find it worthwhile to hand Chisora a pile of dough for a fight that is NOT for sale on a pay-per-view basis and likely won’t attract a large audience.
Let’s face it. Chisora was shot beyond belief and looks like a boxer who lost twice to Fury in 2011 and 2014. That version of Chisora is expected to destroy the current version, as he becomes very slow and easy. tired.
That’s a different situation, though, as Chisora has only won once in his last three contests, and he’s not a highly ranked contender like Whyte when he’s up against Fury.
The obvious question is whether Fury’s WBC title is worth the fight against Chisora?
With Delboy not rated in the top 15 by any of the four sanctioning bodies, it makes it impossible for Fury to defend his WBC title against him. The governing body will not sanction the fight due to Chisora being underestimated.
“This one belongs to Derek Chisora. You’re running, Dereck, from the trio. You call yourself ‘War’, but you should call yourself ‘Chicken’ because you’re running from a movie trilogy and the highest paying day of your career. Get signed f*** contract. Don’t be like a bad house,” said Tyson Fury above social media.
It’s a bad look on Fury’s part if he decides to go through with the fight against Chisora because it would make him a future contender for winner Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk.
If Fury wants to impress fans with a protracted fight, he should take on one of these strong contenders:
- Joe Joyce
- Daniel Dubois
- Joseph Parker
- Filip Hrgovic
- Deontay Wilder
- Frank Sanchez
- Andy Ruiz Jr
- Luis Ortiz
