This offer is only available to new Costco members or those whose membership has lapsed for more than 18 months. It’s also only available to customers in the United States and Puerto Rico. While you can purchase up to two memberships, you can only purchase one per household — so you can keep one and gift the other. I personally purchased this Costco deal in November 2023 and can vouch for it. The redemption process is easy: You purchase and redeem your membership online, then pick up your card at any Costco warehouse at the customer service counter (just be prepared to take a photo of your card, which I didn’t). To receive your $20 gift card, you enter your email at the time of redemption. My gift card was emailed within two weeks, and I had the option to scan it on my phone or print it out to use in-store or online.
