At ZDNET, we Wide coverage of the virtual private network (VPN) market and pay attention to any valuable transactions.

At Stack Social, we’ve discovered an interesting promotion for anyone looking to use VPN software to hide their online activity from prying eyes, including ISPs, marketers, and other groups that can track the websites you visit and the online services you use.

The VPN in question is from Ad Protectiona company known for its ad and tracker blocking technology. Now, you also have the option of trying their standalone VPN, which can provide an extra layer of security to protect your browsing activity.

What I like about this deal is the price. For $35 (90% off), you can sign up for a five-year plan, which gives you access to the VPN for the equivalent of about $0.58 per month. The subscription includes 10 simultaneous device connections, and AdGuard has a no-logs policy.

One and three year subscriptions AdGuard VPN Offer also cost $15 and $25 respectively, which while not expensive, is still on par with the usual promotions offered by other VPN providers.

The iOS and Android mobile versions of this VPN are easy to set up, with a clean interface and simple menu bar. You can choose a default “smart” location with the click of a button, or you can browse through the list of servers and countries (over 60 locations) to find your preferred location. Its speeds are fine, and I didn’t notice any real difference in my browsing or using the app.

One caveat, though: I can’t recommend this VPN for pure MacOS use. During testing, I found logging in to be a challenge, and it was incredibly slow. All in all, the mobile user experience is what you’d expect from a good VPN, but the MacOS app needs a lot of work. (We have a list of Great VPN for Macif you need.)

There is a free option, but keep in mind that VPN traffic, connection speeds, and server locations are very limited.

Promotions may expire at any time, however ZDNET is committed to finding, sharing and updating the best product promotions so you can save the most.

Our team of experts regularly reviews the deals we share to make sure they’re still valid and attainable. We’re sorry if you missed this one, but don’t worry — we’re constantly looking for new opportunities to save and sharing them with you at ZDNET.com.
