Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson are interested in Bob Arum

Via Jim Calfa: Bob Arum says he’s open to making a fight between Shakur Stevenson and Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis soon. He said it doesn’t matter to him if Tank Davis (27-0.25 KOs) is still signed with Mayweather Promotions or not.
For the fight to go, Stevenson (18-0.9 KOs) will need to go up from 130 to challenge Tank Davis for his ‘regular’ WBA lightweight title unless he wants to return to the weight class. Super featherweight that he’s holding two. belt.
Tank, 27, will likely be the one to call shots given he’s a pay-per-view attractor on Showtime, and Stevenson hasn’t reached that point yet.
It would be a risky move for Mayweather Promotions to pit Davis Tank against an expert boxer like Shakur because it would be a much tougher fight than anyone he’s up against.
The tank struggled for the first five innings of the fight last Saturday night against Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero, and who knows what would happen if the challenger were less reckless.
If Tank Davis re-signs with Mayweather Promotions, will Floyd or Leonard Ellerbe be eager to have him fight Stevenson because there’s so much chance of losing.
“Obviously, he’s an elite boxer, and there’s definitely going to be a chance to take to the streets to pit him against one of our fighters, and that’s whether he still has a contract with Floyd. are not [Mayweather] or he doesn’t,” Bob Arum told Against TV Hub about a future fight between Gervonta ‘The Tank’ Davis and Shakur Stevenson.
“The nonsense about not fighting other fighters under contract with other fighters, I don’t believe it, and I think we proved it,” Arum continued.
“We’ve had a lot of fights with our fighters against PBC fighters or against Golden Boy fighters.
Arum talks about the fight between Shakur Stevenson and Devin Haney. “Shakur is an elite talent and can rival any of these guys. He’s a tough guy to beat, Shakur, as he’s proven.
“Yes, in the months and years ahead, we will bring Shakur in with these types of fighters. No one wants to see Shakur fight the junglers. They want to see him checked. Shakur for his credit wants to be checked.
“The truth is, I don’t want to be with him at all. If [Roger] Gutierrez fight can be done [with Shakur] because Oscar’s company [Golden Boy Promotions] promote Gutierrez, it’s going to be an interesting fight.
“But that guy [IBF super featherweight champion Kenichi Ogawa]No one has ever heard of really, and I absolutely don’t want to make that fight.
“But with Gutierrez, it will be a good fight. He is a good fighter. It’s up to Shakur,” Arum said when asked if Stevenson would stay at 130.
