German woman accused of murder looks like her death

A 24-year-old German-Iraqi woman has been jailed for being accused of murdering someone who looked like fake her own death, each Washington Posts.

Local police and prosecutor said the defendant’s parents found a bloody body in their daughter’s car on August 16, 2022. At first, they believed the dead woman was their daughter, identified as Sharaban K. via German newspaper quote. The parents had come to Ingolstadt from Munich after Shahraban stopped answering their calls.

Turns out, the one who died was 23 years old Khadidja O., an Algerian woman that Shahraban found on social media. Below is a video posted by the victim about a week before his death.

Shahraban and her alleged accomplices and boyfriend, Sheqir CZK, have been in police custody since August, when they were 23 years old. However, a local district court issued an arrest warrant for the murder last week. If convicted, the couple face life in prison.

How German police discovered the ‘murder to fake death’ plot

Initially, the police identified Shahraban as a “victim of a violent crime,” but officials abandoned that theory soon after. Fingerprints and DNA collected from the victim’s body did not match those of Shahraban.

At a news conference, police spokesman Andreas Aichele said officials were also aware of rumors that locals had spotted the ‘missing woman’ driving around in the Ingolstadt area.

According to Google Translate, Andreas Aichele said pay:

“It was a special case that required all the skills of the investigator. We don’t see a case like this every day, especially with such a spectacular turn of events. On the day we found the body, we didn’t expect it to grow like this.”

As their investigation developed, police discovered that Shahraban had used social media to locate a doppelganger. Furthermore, victim Khadidja was not the first or only person Shahraban contacted, Attorney General Veronika Grieser confirmed to quote.

AG Grieser said: “It has been confirmed that the defendant contacted a number of women via Instagram prior to engaging in conduct that appeared to be similar to hers.

Shahraban allegedly used fake Instagram accounts to search for likes on the platform. Police say she spoke to several young women after starting to chat with them.

Here’s what happened the day the German woman allegedly killed her Doppelganger and why

AG Grieser explains a possibly family-related motive for Shahraban to quote.

“After the investigation, it was assumed that she wanted to hide due to a family dispute and faked her death.”

At the beginning of August, Shahraban arranged a meeting with Khadidja for August 16. When that day arrived, Shahraban and Sheqir traveled from Ingolstadt to Heilbronn, taking about 2.5 hours’ drive to pick up Khadidja. But instead of driving to the agreed location, the accused killers drove in the direction of Ingolstadt.

AG Grieser said the couple chose a wooded area along the road as the crime scene. Based on rectangle, Khadidja was lured out of the car under a premeditated pretext and stabbed more than 50 times.

The investigation is ongoing.
