German consumer confidence rises for fourth straight month
Germany’s Gfk Consumer Confidence rose to -33.9 through February 2023 from -37.8 last month and slightly missed the consensus of -33.2
This is the fourth month in a row sentiment has increased.
The number measures financial confidence and is an indicator of consumer spending, which accounts for the bulk of overall economic activity.
Both economic and earnings expectations continue to recover and increase significantly.
